118.- Fiesta en el norte junto a la ermita (1932) The party in the north next to the chapel (1932)

"Sra. Dña Mercedes E. Vda. de Guezala
Mercedillas muy querida:
El diagnóstico cabal
de esas tus melancolías
es por contemplarse mucho
y hacer caso a tonterías.

Si he de decirte verdad
pues sino no lo diría
agrada a Dios este baile
más que esas tus boberías.

Haz eso sí cuanto puedas
por agradecer al Señor
mas después cierra la puerta
a tu recriminación.

Que sino Zaldívar tiene
algunos cuartos vacantes
y habrá que pensar muy pronto
de cogerte y de llevarte.

Merchechus no seas tonta

Postcard printed with a color drawing of 140 x 85 mm with white edge 2 to 3 mm. The drawing depicts a country fair with folk dancing next to a shrine in northern Spain.

The back has no form so it does not identify the editor, not even marking the place for the label or address.

It is not flanked by what must be delivered by hand or in an envelope. There is a text that fills the back written in ink pen with elegant and mature point in the form of poetry that reads as follows:

"Ms. Mrs. Mercedes E. Vda.'s Guezala
Mercedillas beloved:
Thorough diagnosis
of these phone blues
is considered much
and heed nonsense.

To tell you truth
but would not say it
pleasing to God this dance
more than those your foolishness.

All you can do that themselves
by thanking the Lord
but after the door closes
your recrimination.

That it has Zaldívar
some rooms vacant
and we must think very soon
to catch you and take you.

Merchechus not be silly
that this life is leaving us
and if we in fact,
do we stay.

Of advice from whom much more you want and reminds you today.
Santander 10/29/1932 "

It seems the letter from a suitor to his friend's widow at which complains that exit and re-live his life and recalls with a dance-card will not hurt anyone and stop worrying about what other people say.

Pretty picture as a whole, both the text and the image, dated the 2 nd year of the Second Spanish Republic. The dance can be in rural areas of Santander and the Basque country, the names displayed are Basque but is dated in Santander.

116.- PARIS.- La Bastille, Colonne de Juillet. 1903

The postcard is addressed to Pedro Miguel in Madrid (Spain), lacks the stamp (it has been removed) but it is legible postmark Bd entire St. Martin in Paris and dated October 13, 1903. at 20:45 hours. On the back is only the address of the recipient and not until 1906 that the division would be generalized into two areas, leaving the left for text, so the text would appear on the front above the picture.

The text written with pen and elegant fine print is on the lighter areas of the picture (sky) and partly crossed himself to write more and says:

"Dear parents, I guess I will have received the telegram, so we hope to Periquillo immediately. Do not fail to tell me the day I get to go to wait. Put a telegram to the Hotel Bergère: Rue Bergère 32 and 34 (and still there is a 3 star hotel). We are very satisfied with this great Paris when Periquillo see all this is going to be shocked and despite not having been before. Last night we went to bed very early (ten o'clock) because we were exhausted from walking. Our best wishes to all and for you a big hug your children that much you want. Ramón y Pepa. Paris 13-10-903."

The interpretations of the text is drawn from the reading of it, Periquillo should be a brother he writes and was reluctant to go to Paris. The purpose of the trip, which seems long, do not know.

Google traslation:

Postcard 87 x 138 mm led to Huelva in Spain. Is stamped and postmarked, but the seal has been started and the postmark is illegible. The people to whom they are addressed should be quite familiar as appears neither the street nor the number but just the city of Huelva.

On the obverse an image of a group of houses in a valley with mountains, it occupies a height of 84 mm leaving the text open to the bottom with a height of 54 mm and the width of the card is written German with very small print and two different inks. Topping the text "Iglerhof 15 / 7 04" so we deduce that the image must represent the great hotel of the same name located in the Austrian Tyrol. Thus was written in July 1904.

The post even if it represents an area is written in Austrian and German had thrown in the mail in a French speaking area in the direction as "Spain" is written in French.

The reverse is intended only to management, could continue for two years back was divided into two areas and were accepted text on its left side, so the full text of this copy is in the front, including in parts of its own image. It is printed in German "Postcard" and instructions to set the direction correctly.

In the front is embossed without ink a text referring to the photographer:"KASPAR  ANGERER  FOTOGRAFIE VERLAG  SGHW" The image that looks like a painting or drawing is signed in lower left and dated 1903 and on its edge lower right are the initials "jgls."

Wien VII. Alle Rechte vorbehalten." From this inscription we see that was published in Vienna.

Google translation:

Roisin, fot. Barcelona." The purple label appears as horizontal and offset printing is off center the image with respect to the teeth.

The postcard is addressed to Mr. D. July Peigneux on Calle Ruiz, 20, Madrid and the written text with good calligraphy pen and an adult says: "Dear all: After a good trip, but swallowing a lot of dust, we have it, although not is nothing special is not bad at all. It's hot but the breeze is not bad. A hug from your José María. Cadiz 05/08/1945 ", also appears another firm, with the same blue pencil on the front of the arrow , next to the label but that is unreadable.

The warm of the postcard is not very good, which is logical if we consider that after the war was Spanish and just after the end of World War II.
