114.- Tournai (Bélgica) 1908


Tarjeta postal de 136 x 89 mm con una fototipia de la ciudad de Tournai ciudad francófona de las más antiguas de Bélgica en la región de Valonia que cuenta con una famolsa catedral que es patrimonio de la humanidad que cuenta con cinco campanarios y que se puede observar en la esquina superior izquierda de esta imagen. La parte inferior está en blanco para dejar algo de espacio al texto aunque ésta ha sido escrita sobre la imagen en toda su superficie.

Los textos que aparecen impresos en el anverso son: "Tournai" "Panorama pris de la tour St. Brice"  "Nels, Bruxelles Serie 48 nº 70", que indica tanto el editor y la numeración de esta postal como el lugar que es una panorámica desde la torre St. Brice de Tournai.

La tarjeta postal está dirigida al señor José Miguel González con domicilio en la calle Calderón de la Barca nº 2 - bajo de Madrid por su hijo César que se encontraba interno en un colegio de Tournai realizando estudios.

El texto escrito es aproximadamente el siguiente:
"Queridos hermanitos y papá: La presente es para indicaros principalmente que he sabido ya los resultados de mis composiciones en las cuales tengo en aritmética 40 puntos sobre 50 y en francés 28 puntos, de lo cual espero estéis contentos pues yo también lo estoy pues ocupo la cuarta plaza entre 38 alumnos. También para indicaros he recibido el periódico que me habéis mandado el otro día y la carta con el cheque, en estas vacaciones tenemos unos días más que las pasadas ya le he pedido en una carta a mamá la cual os indicará a todos, mandar enseguida el dinero porque no quedan más que 8 ó 10 días.
Al año que viene seguramente estará suprimido el pensionato. ___ por que no hay ____más alumnos, ya os lo explicaré y Doit también.
Sin más por hoy recibir un millón de besos y abrazos de vuestro hijo y hermano César."

No sabemos la edad del colegial aunque tiene buena letra con pluma y pequeño tamaño, escribe a su padre y a su madre por separado por lo que deben de vivir en lugares diferentes, habla de otra persona (Doit) al final y no sabemos si puede ser un hermano o no.
El reverso sólo lleva la dirección antes mencionada, tiene impresa la leyenda "CARTE POSTALE" y las líneas para poner la dirección, esta tarjeta postal puede ser de 1906 ó 1908 (no se distingue en el matasellos que es de la estación de Tournai del 5 de abril, lleva un sello de 10 francos del rey Leopoldo II de Bélgica, este sello apareció en 1905 y el rey falleció en 1909 por lo que la tarjeta está en ese periodo. El sello lleva en la parte inferior la leyenda del ilustrador: "HENRI MEUNIER - INV".

Esta tarjeta postal circuló entre Tournai (Bélgica) y Madrid (España), está rota la esquina inferirior izquierda.

We do not know the age of the college but has good hand with a pen and small size, he wrote to his father and mother separately and should therefore live in different places, speaking of another person (Doit) at the end and do not know if it can be a brother or not.
