286.- Sevilla. Torre del Oro (años 50)



Minúscula fototarjeta postal de 67 x 44 mm en blanco y negro con la fotografía de la Torre del Oro y parte del Río Guadalquivir en Sevilla enmarcado por una reja artística con luces en la otra orilla.

Perteneció a un cuaderno con más imágenes del que desconocemos su número o lugares retratados.

En el reverso aparece impreso en español, francés e inglés "Torre del Oro" y el nombre "E. Darvi" que suponemos era el editor.

Bonito recuerdo de la ciudad de muy pequeño tamaño que tuvo éxito en esta época de los años 40 ó 50 del siglo XX.

284.- Shokry Mohamed. Salto de la libertad. Las pirámides de Egipto (1988)


Curiosa tarjeta postal del estudio de danza "Las Pirámides" haciendo publicidad de las clases de danza oriental de Shokry Mohamed en Madrid.

En el anverso aparece Shokry Mohamed realizando "el salto de la libertad" delante de las pirámides egipcias. La tarjeta postal está sin circular y tiene impresa la publicidad, dejando sólo espacio para poner la dirección. La página web que aparece impresa ya no existe, el bailarín empezó su carrera en el grupo de danzas de la televisión egipcia y en el año 1974 se afinca en España y empieza años después a dar clases de danza. Su estudio "Las Pirámides" sigue existiendo, aunque este bailarín que fue su fundador falleció en el año 2006, bajo la dirección de Rosa Martínez que fue su discípula desde el año 1984.

Dos tarjetas postales, una enviada desde Alemania y otra desde Estados Unidos, lo que tienen en común es que las dos son enviadas a la misma persona, Edwuard Sloan, estudiante en el Dartmouch College (prestigiosa y antigua Universidad americana) en Hanover en el estado de New Hampshire. Estudiante que posteriormente vendría a perfeccionar su español a la Universidad de Granada en España.  

La primera de ellas de 145 x 101 mm contiene en el anverso una fotografía del río Rin (Rhein) delante de la ciudad alemana de Mainz, capital del estado federal de Renania-Palatinado. Está circulada, enviada por avión desde Mainz el 23 de enero de 1978. Está franqueada con un sello de 70 céntimos de marco con el dibujo de la proa de un barco en los astilleros de Schiffbau.

La segunda, algo más pequeña (90 x 138 mm), tiene en su anverso la fotografía a color de la iglesia católica de San Francisco de Asís de Jefferson, North Carolina. En el reverso se indica que hay misas los domingos y festivos a las 9:30 de la mañana. La tarjeta está enviada desde la propia iglesia ya que se pone como remite. Matasellada en la ciudad de Hickory en el mismo estado de Carolina del Norte. Está franqueada con un sello de 13 centavos de dólar de la campana de la libertad americana con la leyenda en inglés "Proclamad la libertad por toda la tierra", símbolo de la independencia, de la abolición de la esclavitud, del carácter de la nación y de la libertad de los Estados Unidos.
