159.- Alicante 1904

Google translation:

Postcard 137 x 88 mm printed in color with an image of the Ride of the Martyrs (Esplanade) Alicante framed by a white edge of about 3 mm except for the bottom which is about 12 mm.

The postcard does the number 7022 in their series and do not know who edited and published.

On the back there is only the address of the recipient, in this case the twins Gimena and Elisa Fernandez de la Vega Lombán (first female doctor of the Faculty of Medicine of Santiago de Compostela, although at the time of receiving this postcard was only 9 years).

It is printed the legend: "UNIVERSAL POSTAL UNION - UNION POSTALLE UNIVERSELLE - SPAIN"

The front is printed in red "7022 Alicante - Ride of the Martyrs (Esplanade)" and written under pen the message "29-6-904 refers them a hug from his friend Perico Alicante."

The 1904 regulations did not allow the reverse split for text and address, kept only for the direction that text had to put in the space on the front or directly above the image.

At this time there was a major boom for the collection of postcards.

This is not stamped or postmarked by what must have sent in an envelope or through someone.
