Pero pasemos al contenido de lo escrito que es lo que verdaderamente nos interesa en este caso. El reverso está manuscrito a pluma por Mercedes Rodríguez viuda de Antonio Cobo desde La Coruña a su sirvienta Carmen Valera Moya, a la calle Cananejas de Linares (Jaén) domicilio habitual de Mercedes.

Bonita tarjeta postal por el procedimiento de fototipia con la imagen en blanco y negro de la Plaza del Álcazar de Ávila realizada por el fotógrafo Mayoral Encinar, de 137 x 89 mm.

El fotógrafo José Mayoral Encinar (1890-1971) fue el primer reportero gráfico de Ávila colaborando con El Diario de Ávila y las más importantes revistas ilustradas de la época. Sus fotografías aparecieron en prensa y en numerosas tarjetas postales, ésta hace la nº 16 de una de las series, y debió de realizarse hacia 1925.

Aunque no tiene franqueo fue utilizada y va dirigida al Sr. D. José Velázquez de Ávila. El texto escrito con pluma dice: "Le dedico esta postal al Sr. Velázquez. El Borrego A. García" por lo que puede tratarse de una broma entre ellos al firmar como "El Borrego" aunque desconocemos el significado auténtico.

La imagen representa la plaza del Mercado Grande, la plaza de Ávila como parte central de la vida de esta ciudad desde hace al menos 10 siglos.

Para celebrar que en este blog llegamos a la tarjeta postal nº 100, traemos aquí estos dos preciosos ejemplares de la familia Fernández de la Vega, aquí representados por el Doctor D. Wenceslao Fernández de la Vega y Pasarín, su hija María y sus hijas gemelas Jimena y Elisa (que fueron de las primeras mujeres médicos en España y primeras matriculadas en la Facultad de Medicina de Santiago de Compostela).

Vamos a describir estas dos tarjetas postales:

1ª Tarjeta postal de 93 x 137 mm impresa con dibujos a color con guirnaldas de flores de clara influencia modernista que imperaba en esos años. Deja espacio en el anverso para escribir un breve texto ya que en el reverso sólo estaba autorizado escribir la dirección.

Está dirigida a la Sta. María Vega y Lombán (Dª María Luisa Fernández de la Vega y Lombán) en Vega de Ribadeo (actual Vegadeo en la provincia de Asturias).

Está franqueada con un sello de Alfonso XIII de 15 céntimos y matasellado el día 12 de septiembre de 1902.

La denominación de Tarjeta postal y Unión Postal Universal aparecen en el reverso en varios idiomas (no en español) ya que esta edición debió realizarse fuera de España, pero destinada a varios países por el gran éxito de coleccionismo que habían alcanzado las tarjetas postales en estas fechas.

En el anverso puede leerse el siguiente texto:

"Querida María: Te saludamos y felicitamos en el próximo día de tu santo, que lo pases feliz y dichosa al lado de tus buenos papás y hermanitos. Es lo que te desean tus primas María y Salvina.

Castroverde septiembre, 11 de 1902."

2ª Tarjeta postal 88 x 135 mm impresa en color y relieves con un círculo donde aparece un pasisaje nevado con una casa y un árbol y rodeado exteriormente dicho círculo con motivos vegetales, dejando espacio para el texto que en el anverso dice: "Querido papá. Mucho sentimos no pase los carnavales con nosotras. Lo abrazan sus gemelas. Jimena y Elisa. Febrero 15 /904.

El reverso está ocupado en su esquina superior izquierda por la leyenda de Tarjeta postal y Unión postal Universal en varios idiomas incluido el alemán o el ruso (recordemos que en esta fecha aún no había sucedido la I Guerra Mundial). Cuenta con un sello de Alfonso XIII de 10 céntimos matasellado en Vega de Rivadeo el 16 de febrero y tiene otro matasellos, pero en el anverso, del 17 de febrero de 1904 de Gijón, lugar de destino de esta tarjeta que va dirigida al Doctor en Medicina Don Wenceslao F. de la Vega al Gran Hotel y Restaurant del Comercio en Gijón.

Es de destacar la excelente caligrafía de la persona que escribió el texto del anverso, posiblemente una de las gemelas, ya que en ese día aún no tenían 9 años. El reverso está escrito por otra persona de más edad.

Dos foto tarjetas postales de los años 50 de la playa de la Victoria de Cádiz, muy similares los puntos de vista de las fotografías en donde destacan las casetas de baño y la gente que está en la playa, tanto los que están en traje de baño como los que pasean totalmente vestidos. Las casetas de baño de lonas a rayas son predecesoras de las sombrillas.

Al fondo se puede apreciar en la línea del horizonte distintas zonas del casco antigo de Cádiz como es el hospicio junto a la Caleta, a la izquierda del todo llega a apreciarse el castillo de San Sebastián situado en una pequeña isla y unido a tierra mediante un malecón, en él se encuentra el faro que fue proyectado por Rafael de la Cerda en 1907 con más de 30 metros de altura y que sustituyó al anterior faro de Cadiz.

Las dos fotografías son en blanco y negro aunque la segunda está parcialmente colereada a mano, las dos están dentadas aunque la primera tiene un margen blanco y la segunda no (la imagen ocupa toda la superficie).

La primera de ellas de 137 x 94 mm es la número 256 de Ed. AISA, el texto forma parte del anverso y está situado en la parte inferior en un margen blanco más amplio que en el resto de los lados.

La segunda postal de 146 x 97 mm es una fotografía en blanco y negro coloreada, en su parte derecha se distingue un letrero que pone "Galería de señoras", lugar que el ayuntamiento destinaba a vestuarios, duchas, etc. Ésta es la número 31 de "García Garrabella y Compañía" (propiedad de D. Luis García Garrabella) de Zaragoza. Las leyendas aparecen en el reverso.

Es curioso observar como la parte derecha de la imagen corresponde a una zona de paseo al lado de la playa fuera de la arena y la actitud de muchos de los paseantes, la mayoría andan vestidos y casi en primer plano a la derecha van dos hombres en bañador y dos mujeres jóvenes que pasan a su lado los observan de forma clara volviendo las cabezas para verlos con el torso desnudo. Otro de los viandantes (de espaldas y con traje) lleva en la mano una cámara fotográfica que no era demasido normal en la época. En la primera tarjeta postal se observa a otra persona con cámara fotográfica pero puede ser un fotógrafo callejero que busca clientes en la propia playa y alrededores (por la forma de vestir o el tipo de cámara).

Tarjeta postal de 142 x 90 mm de la colección "Historia y Arte" de la Fototipia Laurent de Madrid ( firma iniciada por el fotógrafo francés Juan Laurent y continuada por Lacoste).

Este ejemplar es el número 16 de esa serie y representa en color la catedral de Cádiz. Es anterior a 1906 ya que el dorso no está partido en dos sino exclusivamente reservado para la dirección por lo que el texto habría de ponerse en el anverso en el pequeño espacio dejado abajo o bien superponiendo el texto a la propia imagen.

Esta tarjeta postal no está circulada.
